Sustainability
Environmental
At Atenea Living, in addition to promoting a modern and comfortable environment where students can share their university experience, we want this to happen in facilities committed to the environment, sustainability and its residents, collaborators and employees. To achieve this, we have built our building following the guidelines of the LEED certification program.
LEED certification is a building certification program that aims to evaluate and measure the environmental performance of a building. But how does this affect the residents of Atenea Living? The answer is simple: LEED certification offers a series of advantages that improve the quality of life of students in a sustainable building like ours.
01
The first advantage of LEED certification for Atenea Living residents is the improvement in indoor air quality. Our building has high-efficiency ventilation and filtration systems that remove pollutants and improve indoor air quality, which translates into better health and well-being for residents.
02
Energy efficiency: we use less energy than conventional buildings, which translates into lower energy consumption. In addition, LEED certified buildings are designed to maximize natural light and reduce the need for artificial lighting, which improves residents’ quality of life and reduces energy consumption.
03
LEED certification also promotes the use of sustainable materials in the construction of the building, which reduces environmental impact and improves the health of residents. These sustainable materials are non-toxic, have a longer shelf life and are therefore easier to recycle. In addition, buildings with LEED certification have a solid waste management system that reduces the amount of waste sent to clean points.
04
Accessibility and sustainable mobility in the building. Atenea Living is designed to be accessible to all people, regardless of their physical ability.
05
Reduction of water consumption in the building facilities: the entire project is focused on reducing daily water consumption. Swimwear systems, sanitary appliances and appliances with specific characteristics and limited flow rate have been installed to reduce water consumption.
06
Storage and collection of recyclable materials: reduce the waste generated by the occupants of the building and deposited in specific landfills.
07
Environmental control of tobacco-derived smoke: prevent or minimize the exposure of building occupants, interior surfaces and ventilation air distribution systems to environmental tobacco smoke.
08
Quality environment: provide the occupants of the building with a connection with the natural outdoor environment, providing them with quality views.
09
Comfort and acoustic performance: to provide workspaces and classes that promote the well-being, productivity and communication of occupants through efficient acoustic design.

A certification that reaffirms our commitment to the well-being of the community and the environment, as well as our residents, collaborators and employees, seeking a common goal of improving the quality of life and reducing environmental impact.
